stop thief!

Oh my. Got an official email this morning at the office that there was over $5000 stolen from the two buildings last week. Not by employees, but by people employees inadvertantly let in the secured doors. Despite the fact that all the doors are secured, and there are big signs everywhere that say "Associates are not permitted to let anyone into the building," people are always letting random people in, without knowing who they are. Makes me feel so secure. So we got this very strongly worded reminder not to let anyone in. We'll see.

I'm very tired this morning. I stayed up to watch "The Practice" last night, and about 10:30 YMP came wandering in and said he couldn't sleep. I think he's so worried about FIL, and it had been such a stressful weekend for him anyway. I finally sent him to lie down in our room, and when I came to bed around midnight he was fast asleep and unmoveable. So I left him there, since we have a queen and there's plenty of room. But of course then I woke up several times in the night with his legs flung across my neck, or his knee in my back, or whatever. That child is the most active sleeper. He ranges all over the bed and back during the night. When I woke up this morning, he was horizontal, with his head hanging off the side and his legs crushing my windpipe.

So I didn't get the best quality sleep, although YMB seemed much cheerier this morning.

My hair still looks awesome, so I left it, but now my scalp is kind of itchy. I don't know how people routinely go days without washing their hair. Even though I took a shower and scrubbed everything but my hair (took extra long because I had to wash off all the fairy dust that had gotten scattered over me at one point yesterday), I still feel slightly grungy. I'll have to take it down tonight and wash it.

At least it will still be in for Buttercup's birthday party tonight. She'll get a kick out of it. This family get-together should be interesting; it's the first one with Dad's extended family since the saga of bubbles and the since the whole homemade porn fiasco. It will be interesting to see if T and R both come with the kids, or just T.

Nothing else to relate yet, since I just wrote last night and I'm not nearly as prolific as Kinetix, whose life is nearly as complicated as mine, although his is more entertaining in a soap-opera kind of way. I bet Kinetix would appreciate the NYC Hockey Boys calendar. I think I will go sign his guestbook and tell him about it.
